Check up and Cleaning
It is essential to have regular check ups and cleanings to maintain your oral health. We perform thorough examinations including an oral cancer screening on your first visit. If you have gum disease, deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) is recommended to remove all soft and hard deposits from the teeth. (Patient Education)
Preventive dentistry begins with the first tooth eruption. Our experts will assist you and your children to prevent or treat oral disease. We can provide nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to pediatric patients upon request.
We provide two systems, at home whitening and in office whitening systems. You can choose either one or a combination of these to achieve your ideal smile. (Patient Eduction)
These can be full (whole arch) or partial (replacing one or several teeth). Both partial and complete dentures can be made to appear quite natural using the latest artificial teeth and acrylics. We use multiple measuring points to satisfy function and aesthetics. Our goal is to provide a personalized precision denture for you with the latest dental technology. (Patient Education)
This type of tooth replacement involves the placement of a titanium root within the jaw bone where teeth are missing. This artificial root is allowed to integrate and fuse into the bone, then we place the crown or bridge over it. Sometimes implants can be used combined with precision dentures to gain rigid retention. During the healing phase, a temporary denture can be used as needed to restore your smile. (Patient Education)
These are thin porcelain “tooth fronts” which are bonded onto the tooth with modern adhesives. Only minimal tooth reduction is needed. Veneers can be used to correct aging smile lines, close spaces, change the colour of teeth and straighten crooked teeth. (Patient Education)
Dental bonding is an effective treatment method for small cavities and repairing chipped, cracked or discolored teeth. Bonding, otherwise known as “composite resin restoration”, can even out and fill in gaps between teeth and can also be used as an alternative to silver amalgam fillings.
These are used when a tooth is heavily filled, cracked, or was previously treated with a root canal treatment. Crowns provide excellent strength to the tooth while improving overall aesthetics. A crown fits over a tooth to protect it in the same way a helmet fits over your head. Custom made temporary crowns are available during the process prior to final restoration. (Patient Education)
Bridges are restorations designed to replace missing teeth. It involves crowning the adjacent teeth which act as supports. There is a limit to the space that can be bridged and there needs to be a tooth support at each end for long-term success. (Patient Education)
Root Canal Therapy
When a tooth dies and becomes infected, or the tooth nerve is severly damaged, it is necessary to have a root canal treatment. Root canal treatment involves hollowing the tooth out and filling it with a soft rubber material. (Patient Education)
When a tooth is badly decayed, it is time to choose extraction, or removal of the tooth. We perform the procedure under local anesthesia combined with application of topical anesthesia to minimize injection pain. Also, usage of nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to relax the patient is available by request.
We offer fitting of braces for children and adults. Patients have a choice to put conventional metal braces or clear braces to align teeth in an ideal position. (Patient Eduction)
